Candle Ceremony

Remember to follow safety guidelines if you use this form of celebration. Place a lit candle centrally - the Paschal Candle would be ideal.  Prior to the worship arrange for appropriate people to come forward eg an engaged couple for the first.

Each couple takes a small Votive candle,
lights it from the central candle,
says the words: "We light..."
a pause and then "we offer…"
then places the lit candle in a bowl of sand placed at the front and visible to all.
